So I decided I wanted to do a review on Wet n Wild’s Megaglo Contouring Palette because I’ve always been a fan of Wet n Wild’s products because they are a cruelty free brand! They are also available in lots of drugstores and very affordable.
I used to never use contour since I always just used blush and bronzer. However, after watching enough YouTube makeup tutorials, I started getting curious about contour. I wanted to get something affordable to try out before I went all in!
This contouring palette retails for $4.99. It comes in two shades. I have the shade Caramel Toffee, which is pictured below from the Wet n Wild website.
There is a side that contours and a side that highlights. I use the lighter shade as more of a setting powder. Both shades are a matte finish.
Here are swatches on my arm! The lighter shade is above the darker one. It’s very similar to my skin tone, so it’s especially hard to pick up on camera. Both powders are a bit chalky to the touch, but more so the highlighting shade.
The picture above shows each shade blended. I could’ve blended them more, but I wanted to make sure they would show up!
Overall, I think these shades work for me because the formula is so easy buildable and blendable. The contour shade seemed a bit dark (for me) and intimidating in the pan. This is a great starting contour palette for beginners though because it blends so easily! It lasts on my skin all day (when I use a setting spray). I’d recommend using a brush for this product since it is a powder!
Do you guys have any favorite products for contour? I honestly liked this one so much that I’ve stuck with it! I might try something else once I use it up!
